Taqa Bratani Has Acquired the 81% Interest Held by Total in Two North Sea Production Licenses

Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (Taqa) has announced that its subsidiary, Taqa Bratani, has signed a sale and purchase agreement with the French company Total for the acquisition of the whole of the latter's 81% interest in two production licenses, P.226 Block 210/15a and P.1021 Block 210/20d, located within the Otter development zone in the North Sea. The Otter field is located next to Taqa Bratani's existing North Sea assets, which it acquired in 2008, and is linked by subsea pipeline to the Eider platform, to which five subsea wells are hooked up and which is operated by Taqa Bratani. The field's production was running at around 8,000 barrels/day in mid-September.
