Yemen LNG Has Brought the Second Train of its Natural Gas Liquefaction Plant on Stream

Total announced at the beginning of April that the second train of the liquefaction plant of Yemen LNG, of which the French company is the largest shareholder, had entered production "earlier than we had forecast." The first train has been operating since the middle of October 2009 (AOG, 1 Nov., 2009). The commissioning of the second train will enable the plant to step up its output to the full-capacity rate of 6.7 million tons/year of liquefied natural gas (the first train attained its full-capacity rate of operation very quickly). Yemen LNG has invested a total of $4.5 billion in its project.
