Al Ezzel Power Co.Finalizes a US380-Million Loan Agreement and the EPC Contract Awarded to Siemens for the al-Ezzel Power Station

Under the terms of an agreement signed on 22 November,a syndicate of 11 regional and international banks has agreed to advance a long-term loan of US380 million to Al Ezzel Power Company to part-finance the al-Ezzel independent power project (IPP).The syndicate is led by HSBC and Societe Generate and also includes ANZ,Bayerische Landesbank,Calyon,Gulf International Bank,ING,Mashreqbank,Mizuho,Royal Bank of Scotland and Standard Chartered Bank.
