Ten Companies, Including Petronet LNG, Have Expressed an Interest in Supplying LNG to India's NTPC

The plans of National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd. (NTPC) of India for importing 5 million tons/year of liquefied natural gas (LNG) have attracted expressions of interest from 10 local and international companies, according to the company's Chairman, Mr. C. P. Jain. Talks are underway with these companies, which are due to start submitting formal proposals in support of prequalification applications next month, he added.
