Iran Puts its Recoverable Oil Reserves at Around 160 Billion Barrels

Following a new oil discovery, Iran now estimates its recoverable oil reserves at some 160 billion barrels. The approximately 6-billion barrel increase in its reserves- was unveiled by the Oil Minister, Mr. Rostam Qasemi, according to the official Shana news agency. Last November Mr. Qasemi had indicated that the country's recoverable oil reserves had been revised up to 154.8 billion barrels from 151 billion barrels before.
