Between Seven and Nine Consultants Expected to Prequalify for the Fourth Refinery and Clean Fuels Projects

International firms have been invited to submit bids in three to four weeks' time for consulting services contracts covering the planned al-Zour refinery and the clean fuels project, the Chairman and Managing Director of Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), Mr. Fahed al-Ajmi, announced on 20 March. Between seven and nine consulting firms are expected to be prequalified for these contracts, which are expected to be worth some $300 million each, according to Mr. al-Ajmi.
