Libya's Sovereign Wealth Fund Examines the Possibility of Buying the Petroplus Refinery at Petit-Couronne in France

The French Minister of Productive Recovery, Mr. Arnaud Montebourg, was quoted by the French weekly magazine JDD on 10 November as indicating that "Libya's sovereign wealth fund, the Libyan Investment Authority, has expressed an interest in possibly investing in our refineries, on the occasion of the liquidation process of Petroplus. Our Strategic Investment Fund could intercede alongside it as a minority partner in profitable projects. This commitment on French soil could also be reciprocated on Libyan soil."
