The British firm Heritage Oil Plc has announced the acquisition of a controlling 51% interest in Sahara Oil Services Holdings Limited (SOSH), which holds long-term permits and licenses for the provision of onshore and offshore oil services in Libya. Heritage paid $19.5 million in cash for the holding and says it intends to "play a significant role in the future development of the oil and gas industry in Libya."
