Sonatrach Signs Five Sales Contracts for the Supply of Gas to Be Delivered to Spain Through the Medgaz Gasline

Sonatrach signed five contracts in Algiers on 31 March for the supply of natural gas through the Medgaz gasline that links Algeria directly to Spain. These contracts have been concluded for 20-year periods and are for a total volume of 8 billion cubic meters/year of gas at the plateau rate. Four of the five purchasers are Spanish companies, including Cepsa, Endesa and Iberdrola, and the French company GDF Suez.
