Taqa Takes Over Pioneer Natural Resources Canada for 540 Million

Under the terms of an agreement signed on 23 August,Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (Taqa) has agreed to acquire all the outstanding shares of Pioneer Natural Resources Canada Inc.,the Canadian subsidiary of Pioneer Natural Resources Company of the U.S.,for 540 million.The deal,which is subject to the normal approval procedures by the relevant authorities,is due to be finalized at the end of November.
