Advanced Petrochemical Company and Bayegan Group to Develop a Petrochemical Complex in Turkey

Advanced Petrochemical Company(Advanced) and Turkey's Bayegan Group have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the joint development of a petrochemical complex in southern Turkey. The project is expected to cost $1 billion and calls for theconstruction of a propane dehydrogenation (PHD) plant with the capacity to produce 500,000 tons/year of polypropylene (PP). Advanced informed the Tadawul, Saudi Arabia's stock exchange, that the MOU would remain in force from the date it was signed until 31 December, or until the joint-venture agreement is put into effect, whichever is the earlier.
