Heritage Oil Expects Wells Drilled in a Section of the Miran West Reservoir to Yield Flows of 8,000-10,000 B/D of Crude

Following the end of tests of an Upper Cretaceous reservoir encountered by the Miran West-3 well drilled in the Kurdistan region, Heritage Oil Pic has reported that it obtained a maximum flow of 1,950 barrels/day of very heavy (15° API) crude with very little associated natural gas. The British company added that the flow rate was limited by the capacity of the surface equipment used. Heritage Oil estimates that future development wells drilled into this section of the reservoir could produce 8,000-10,000 b/d of crude.
