Saudi Petchem Production Will Reach 100 Million Tons/Year by 2015, Say Organizers of Saudi Plastics & Petrochem 2011

The 10th International Plastics and Petrochemicals Trade Fair, Saudi Plastics & Petrochem 2011, will take place in Riyadh from 28 November to 1 December next. Announcing the event, the organizers, Riyadh Exhibitions Company, indicated that the Saudi petrochemical industry was on track to further strengthen its position as the world's largest producer of petrochemicals, with large-scale projects underway that would increase the country's total production capacity to 100 million tons/year by 2015. Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic) alone aims to triple its global petrochemical production to 130 million tons/year by 2020, including up to 20 million tons/year of polymers.
