Egypt and EMG Sign an Agreement Revising the Terms of the Sale and Purchase Contract for Egyptian Gas

Ampal-American Israel Corporation announced on 1 June that it had been notified by East Mediterranean Gas (EMG), in which it has a 12.5% interest, that EMG and its Egyptian natural gas supplier had finalized and signed an amendment to their sale and purchase contract revising the price that EMG pays for the Egyptian gas it supplies to Israel. "Ampal also learned from EMG that the amendment to the contract introduces higher prices, periodic price adjustments and new gas supply targets," explained the company.
