Gujarat State Petroleum Has an Option to Acquire GeoGlobal's 30% Interests in Two Concessions

The Indian company Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) has announced that in mid-February it and its associates expect to sign the production-sharing agreement covering two blocks in Egypt awarded to them in 2006 and already approved by Parliament. GSPC will be operator with a 50% interest on behalf of a consortium that also includes GeoGlobal Resources Inc. of Canada (30%) and the Indian firm Alkoor Petroo Ltd. (20%).
