Taqa Acquires Interests in Three More Blocks and an Offshore Field in the Netherlands from Cirrus Energy

The Canadian company Cirrus Energy Corporation announced in September that a new agreement had been signed between its subsidiary, Cirrus Energy Nederland B.V., and Taqa Offshore B.V., a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (Taqa), under which Cirrus is to sell Taqa interests in three exploration tracts and an offshore oil field in the Netherlands. Cirrus Energy will remain operator of all these assets. Last February Taqa acquired 50% interests in offshore blocks Q11 and Q14 held by Cirrus Energy in the same area (AOG, 16 Feb., 2008).
