Swaps up on freight, physical indexes

Prompt paper prices on the European over-the-counter coal market jumped by more than 1.00 dollars /metric tonne (mt) amid higher implied freight and expectations of stronger physical indices, brokers said. During a healthy session, many market participants focused on the implied freight and the API 2 (cif ARA) contracts, and as a result, fewer deals were done on the API 4 (fob Richards Bay) contracts.
