Japanese utility Kansai Electric Power is likely to missits mid-November target date to restart the 870MW No.3nuclear reactor as its Takahama plant as a court battle dragson.Japan’s nuclear regulation authority (NRA) todaycompleted its assessments of whether Kansai’s 870MW No.3and No.4 Takahama reactors comply with safety standards.Kansai is now likely to ask the NRA to start preparatorymaintenance checks on the No.4 reactor, a process which isexpected to take around three months.
