Vegas Oil & Gas Announces a Third Oil Discovery on the East Ghazalat Tract

Exploration well Sabbar-1 drilled on the East Ghazalat tract, which is operated by Vegas Oil & Gas in association with TransGlobe Energy, resulted in an oil discovery. The well was taken down to a depth of 4,600 feet and penetrated the Bahariya formation at 3,820 feet. An analysis of wireline logs confirmed the presence of a 40-foot pay zone. Tests of this interval yielded a flow of 500 barrels/day of 33° API crude through a 32/64-inch choke by natural pressure.
