PPG Industries to expand precipitated silica production capabilities in Netherlands

US-based paints and coatings supplier PPG Industries is preparing to increase precipitated silica production capabilities at its manufacturing facility in Delfzijl, Netherlands. As part of the expansion, which is expected to be completed in 2016, the company plans to increase its capacity by more than 15,000t to meet the growing demand for Agilon performance silica products.
