Western rail loadings flat with 2006

BNSF has completed triple-tracking the entire 103-mile Joint Line serving the Wyoming Powder River Basin. Despite the improvements, Western coal car loading remain relatively flat compared with last year. Through the first 43 weeks of the year, BNSF loadings are up 1pc over last year while UP loadings are relatively flat, data from the Association of American Railroads indicates.
