Global market oversupplied

No price recovery has been possible on the global market in June amid sluggish demand and excessive supply. Prices have mostly fallen during the quarterly contracting of bulk alloys. In Europe, SiMn quotations have come down by 2 month-on-month and by 5 quarter-on-quarter, FeSi ones - by respectively 2 and 3, and FeCr ones - by 4. US and Indian prices have lost 2. An upturn has only been observed in the HC FeMn segment in the EU. Asian prices have stabilized in spite of poor demand.
