US prices for SiMn (65 Mn; 17 Si) have been quoted at $1,459/t DDP against $1,466/t DDP in April. HC FeMn prices have been stable in early May, reaching $1,369/t DDP by the end of the month though.Steel output will keep being raised. US producers are still encouraged by import duties, the investments into local steelmaking industry, and other stimu?lating measures. The country produced 32,924 st of steel over January-May, up 3.2 year-on-year. Producers will also be encouraged by additional orders from the oil and gas companies.
