Rhine coal barge traffi boosted by utilities

Coal barge traffi on the Rhine has surged in the past two weeks, with November volumes likely to double on the month, after utilities increased their coal shipments. Restocking ahead of the winter boosted traffi on the Rhine, with nearly 200,000t shipped already this month from Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp terminals to German power stations in Karlsruhe, Duisburg and Mannheim.
