Manganese ore market on rise

Manganese alloy prices have come up in China this month, though the activity in the local metallurgical market is rather slow to recover. Domestic SiMn prices have added RMB 250/t since early March due to production restrictions in the key provinces. The increase, however, has hardly had impact on the manganese ore quotes in the stock market. In particular, traders have raised raw material selling prices at ports by a mere 0.5 m-o-m.
