Increase in European FeCr prices still questionable

This month, European FeCr market has been largely unaffected by the price increase in China and the upturn in the Q2 benchmark price for South African material. HC FeCr has been available at $0.96-1.04/lb Cr DDP, up no more than 0.05 m-o-m. - China is still the main reason behind the price increase in Europe and the world. Local prices have added 6 this month because of the lack of the material with immediate shipment and production restrictions in Inner Mongolia. Yet, by Metal Expert's estimate, the increase has been speculative as supply is excessive. The decrease in production in North China will have impact on the market balance by May, so the uptrend is supposed to persist in China in the near future.
