High supply and consumer pressure to affect ferroalloy prices in Turkey

Turkish consumers minimized ferroalloy bookings in August. Demand remained moderate and bookings were minimal. In these conditions, prices are mostly nominal. Ukrainian SiMn (71 Mn; 17 Si) is still available at $1,030/t CIF, no sales have been reported. Several thousand tons of Georgian SiMn (70-72 Mn; 17 Si) could be bought at $950/t DDP, while smaller lots were offered at $1,000-1,050/t DDP. Indian SiMn (65 Mn; 16 Si) quotes rose by some $35/t to $935-950/t CIF. No demand for Indian SiMn was seen either.
