Price trend changes in Chinese manganese market due to resumption of shipments from South Africa

Prices have been depressed by the resumption of shipments from South Africa. Speculations over the possible shortage that prevailed over the past six weeks are now starting to subside. The quotes will keep sliding in almost all segments in the future because of global economy slowdown in and stagnant business activity. The only exception is China where the ferroalloy industry is supported by quite quick recovery of internal consumption.
