Turkish ferroalloy markets to face uncertainty and weak demand

Despite moderate demand from Turkey, Ukrainian suppliers managed to push through a slight price increase in March. However, even this upturn took place before the introduction of tougher quarantine measures in Turkey. SiMn (71 Mn, 17 Si) was quoted within $1,070-1,090/t CIF, up $10/t on average from February. Indian SiMn prices dropped to $950-970/t CIF ($1,000-1,020/t CIF in February). A small batch of European SiMn (71 Mn, 17 Si) was bought at $1,090/t CIF for May shipment.
