Stoppages of chrome assets in South Africa to push prices up only briefly

The average price for HC FeCr (60-65 Cr; 6-8 C) in Europe has reached $0.83/lb Cr DDP in March, down 2 from February. Chinese HC FeCr (50 Cr; 6-8 C) quotes have dropped by 6 to $0.65/lb Cr EXW. LC?FeCr is still available in Europe at $1.64/lb Cr DDP (68-70 Cr) and in China at $1.13/lb Cr EXW (60 Cr). The decrease stems from further weakening of demand, which accelerated in March because of the tough quarantine measures in Europe.
