Cerebral Artery Mycotic Aneurysm Associated With Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae Endocarditis

We report a rare occurrence of an aneurysm in the right middle cerebral artery and native mitral valve endocarditis caused by Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae in a 37-year-old man from India. Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae grew in multiple blood cultures. Clipping of cerebral aneurysm was done, and repeat blood cultures after 6 weeks of antibiotic therapy yielded no growth.
