Capesize freight rates continued to fall as Brazilian mining company Vale remained absent from the spot market again this week and iron ore cargo bookings from western Australia slowed down. With Capesize vessels in ample supply and owners competing for the sporadic spot cargoes, the balance has tipped back in charterers' favour.
