Production slides in the East

Coal production in the US fell 3 pct as of Nov. 11 compared with the week before but remained slightly ahead of year-ago levels. Contrary to the overall trend, Wyoming production increased 5 pct to 8.753 million tons over the week, compared with 7.577 million tons for the same week a year ago.
