Coal prices remained stable this week in Colorado and Utahmarkets, with market participants cautiously optimistic thatconditions will improve.Colorado 11,300 Btu/lb coal held unchanged at $27.15/shortton for second quarter 2016 delivery and at $29.35/st for calendaryear 2017. Utah 11,700 Btu/lb coal was assessed at $40.20/stfor the prompt quarter and at $41.40/st for 2017 delivery.Participants are somewhat optimistic that prices and demandmay have bottomed out.
