Coal handling at Polish ports surges

Throughput of thermal and coking coal at Polish ports rose by more than 50pc on the year in January-April as Polish coal prices declined. Polish ports, mostly Szczecin-Swinoujscie and Gdansk, handled about 3.76mn t of coal (including thermal, coking and coke products) in the first four months of this year, an increase of 54pc on a year earlier when coal handling was below 2.44mn t.
