China’s Qinhuangdao port stocks decline

Coal stocks at China’s Qinhuangdao port fell by nearly 3pc inthe latest week, as deliveries were curtailed by maintenanceon the Daqin railway.Coal inventories at Qinhuangdao in northeast Hebeiprovince fell by 115,000t from a week earlier to around4.4mn t as of today, data from China’s coal transport anddistribution association (CCTD) show. Stocks at the portwere 165,000t lower compared with 5 April, the day beforescheduled maintenance got underway on the Daqin railway,which links China’s key coal-producing province of Shanxi toQinhuangdao port.
