Canadian producer Hillsborough Resources has high hopes that its partnership with utility Cinergy to pursue development of a coal-fired power plant on Vancouver Island in British Columbia will succeed. Hillsborough subsidiary Quinsam Coal and Cinergy subsidiary Cinergy Solutions have applied to BC Hydro in response to the utility's RFP for projects to guarantee future generation (CD 11/26/03).
