Vietnam’s September coal output to rise

Vietnam’s coal production is likely to rise by more than afifth to 2.7mn t in September, as output recovers followingflooding and landslides last month.Production this month will pick up by around 23pccompared with 2.2mn t in August, when heavy rain andflooding halted output in the main producing region ofQuang Ninh province, according to Dinh Quang Trung, importand export division general manager at state-owned miningfirm Vinacomin.
