Nornickel produces carbonneutral nickel

Russian mining company Norilsk Nickel (Nornickel) will begin to ship the first batches of carbonneutral nickel to customers in the coming weeks, the company said on Monday June 21. The company is taking steps to mitigate its carbon footprint, it said, which includes efforts to cut carbon dioxide emissions across the whole production chain along with upgrading and investing in energy modernization facilities.
