Partial walkout at Colombia’s Drummond port ends

A group of unionised workers at Colombia’s second-largest coal terminal Puerto Drummond returned to work after failing to report to the terminal early yesterday, following the death of a second worker after an accident. The minority group of workers affiliated to the Sintramienergetica union stayed off the job for most of the day yesterday as a sign of respect for the dead worker. The unionised employees represented about 10pc of the port's 400-strong workforce, according to one source.
