Malaysia's coal demand and imports set to rise

Malaysia will increase coal usage in the next seven years, with coal displacing gas in the country's energy mix. Malaysian coal imports are likely to nearly double by 2020, state-owned TNB Fel Services managing director Shaiful Bahri Hussain said during the McCloskey South African coal exports conference in Cape Town. TNB is the sole importer of coal to Malaysia.
