Blast-proof ballast treatment

South Korea-based Techcross has developed an anti-explosion version of its ballast water treatment system (BWTS) and has sold two to Shitanoe Shipbuilding in Japan.The two anti-explosion systems will be installed on two chemical tankers - one of 3,500dwt and the other 8,500dwt, which are to be delivered later this year and in March next year respectively.
