Daewoo Shipbuilding in South Korea, for example, has entered into the wind power generation business by taking over DeWind, a subsidiary of CTS (Composite Technology Corp) in the US in a deal worth $50M. Nam Sang Tae, chief executive of Daewoo Shipbuilding, said that by combining the know-how of Daewoo Shipbuilding with the technology of DeWind its new acquisition could dominate the renewable energy market within short period.
