Primar extends ENC coverage

Electronic navigation charts (ENCs) have been added to the Primar ENC service following new agreements between the Norwegian Hydrographic Service (NHS) and its counterparts in Brazil and India. The agreement with the Brazilian Navy's Directorateof Hydrographyand Navigation (DHN) formalises the exchange of data and services, and the sharing of expertise, in the field of hydrography. As a result of the agreement, Brazil now becomes a member of the Primar regional ENC co-ordinating centre (RENC) operated by the NHS and will make the Brazilian chartsdirectly available through the Primarservice. Currently, electronic chart coverage of Brazilian waters consists of 94 ENC cells.
