Polishing up propulsion performance

In July last year Solutions carried a report on CASPER, a performance benchmarking system produced by US company Propulsion Dynamics, that enables owners to collect data from a vessel while in service. After the data has been analysed, CASPER can display true performance curves and it enables operators both to track development of hull/propeller resistance and to benchmark drydock treatment and coating performance.
