Primorsk's Elizaveta can handle the freeze

Last month saw the delivery of the 51,000dwt Prisco Elizaveta, an ice-class chemical tanker, to Russia's Primorsk Shipping. Constructed by the South Korean shipbuilder STX Shipbuilding at its Jinhae yard, Prisco Elizaveta is the fifth in a series of seven ships ordered by the Russian company. It is adapted for voyages in temperatures of -25℃. Concerning the trials, Primorsk Shipping reported that, over the course of three days, the crew and members of the shipbuilding team tested the main engine, cargo operation, ballast, fire-prevention, electro-technical systems and the anchor in various modes in the Sea of Japan. The company said that the tanker had demonstrated good manoeuvrability at a speed of 14kt. It is reportedly capable of travelling through 10cm of ice without ice-breaking assistance and has a service speed of 15kt in open water.
