College launches strategy for diversity in professions

A WIDE-RANGING strategy to embed diversity and inclusion at every level of the veterinary professions has been launched by the RCVS.The college has published its sweeping Diversity and Inclusion Group (DIG) Strategy, which sets out future work in core areas including vet and VN education, student support, recruitment and staff retention.It addresses commitments to get more diverse candidates into the vet and vet nursing professions in the first place, with particular focus on appealing to school-age children across the spectrum considering a career.Engendering positive culture change for everyone already in the professions is another ambition.
