Apel Extrusions to build $100mln Ariz plant

Canada’s Apel Extrusions will build an extrusion and finishing plant in Arizona, and expects to break ground on the site as soon as next month. Construction on the Phoenix plant is expected to be complete in August or September 2022, company president Mike Flynn told Fastmarkets on Monday April 5. The first phase of construction will include the installation of an 8in press, but the company expects to add two more presses over the next few years. The cost will total more than $100 million.
