A service offering a fully automated onboard chart management system has been launched by Charente Group companies Lilley Gillie and DPM (UK). BridgeDirect! provides a weekly transmission of Notices to Mariners and tracings to enable onboard charts to be updated. It fully integrates with chart management systems and ensures that both ship and shore recordsare synchronised. Users only receive updates that their vessel requires, keeping transmission costs low. An audit trail records that all corrections are received and applied.
