Bitumen carriers for Vroon

Vroon of the Netherlands has ordered four bitumen carriers from a South Korean shipyard. The 6,000dwt quartet have been contracted from Hyundai Mipo Dockyard and are due for delivery between February and November 2011. Vroon isan existing client of this shipyard, having contracted four vehicle carriers during 2007, three of which have already been delivered. Vroon hasafurtherfive bitumen carriers on orderat Geo Marine Engineering, also ofSouth Korea, which wereordered in 2006.Three of theseare duefordeliverythisyear, with the last twoships delivering in 2011.
